Classic Bike Hire Norfolk

So, opinions please! There doesn't seem to be a classic bike hire outfit here in Norfolk, so what if I start one? We have some great biking country around here, big open skies, small country lanes - no motorways in Norfolk!

I'd maybe offer a few bikes:

  • Ariel Huntmaster
  • BSA A10
  • BSA Bantam
  • BSA B31
  • Royal Enfield Bullet

What else would you suggest? Charges would be something like 85-95 GBP per day, maybe 150-175 GBP for a weekend, including insurance.

So what do you think? Drop me a line on simon@pisl.co.uk and let me know what you think.

hi simon, my names gary, live in australia and have been restoring a 1950 ariel square four for the last 2 yrs and along with the help of your amelia website and drags etc has made life alot easier than flying blind as in the past without computers, i suppose good reason it used to take 5 to 10 years to restore, ha, anyway , just a big . thankyou for all your extra time to create your site. as far as hiring bikes i assume they would get thrashed and treated badly like most hire vehicles, im reluctant to even let my friends have a ride, haha,. one question, have an annoying flat spot in carby, assume all have it to some degree as no accelerator pump in carby, less noticeable if advance dizzy but dont like advancing it too much, once again thankyou, gary

  2. Thanks for your kind words Gary!

I don't have a flat spot of any kind - in fact I've not heard of many folk having a problem with the Solex. Have you checked all the jets are clear? I get a misfire, which is down to heat. I think I'd be looking at the distributor. Is the auto-advance working? Is there any evidence of pitting at the points?
